September 5, 2009: Periodic Calendar 3.1 released. This release introduces password protection for the work files, possibility to record pregnancy interruption, Ukrainian translation, improvements in the internationalization support as well as application internals improvements.
May 26, 2009: We are introducing a new cleaned up and simplified version of the web site. We hope it will make searching for the information easier.
October 2, 2008:Periodic Calendar 2.3 release fixed compilation problems of the 2.x branch in Debian and Arch Linux distributions. We do not plan to introduce new features to the 2.x branch any more.
September 19, 2008:Periodic Calendar 3.0 released. This is a new iteration of the architecture improvements achieved by changing the application core technology :-) Now Periodic Calendar is a cross-platform application which requires Java Runtime Environment 1.6 or higher to work. The application is backward compatible with the 2.x versions file format so you'll be able to load old files in new version.
May 15, 2008:Periodic Calendar 2.2 released. This release fixes crash when the user is trying to deal with dates earlier than Year 1.
November 8, 2005:Periodic Calendar 2.1 released. This release fixes minor compilation problems and a strange glib-originated crash. No new functionality introduced since 2.0.
October 31, 2005:Periodic Calendar 2.0 released. This is the major improvements release. For complete changes list, see the Release Notes.
February 16, 2005:New Release of the Periodic Calendar (1.2). This release is a port of the release 1.1 to GTK/GTKMM 2.4 so the application should work now on the up to date distributions. If you are still using the previous version of GTK/GTKMM - feel free to use the version 1.1. instead. However, all new functionality will be created for at least gtkmm-2.4 version only.
September 13, 2004:Periodic Calendar 1.0 released. This is a GUI utility which assists
in women menstrual cycles and fertility tracking and prediction. This information can be used either
to became pregnant or to prevent pregnancy. The application is a stand-alone release of the
Linux Organizer module which finally will be integrated into the main application.
January 14, 2004: Next Linux Organizer version will be based on gtkmm library with libglademm. No hard bindings to Gnome are planned. Core modules development in progress.
November 20, 2003: I am giving up on Kylix. And don't tell me about the bad dancer :-) I just don't like it any more. The next version of Linux Organizer will be redesigned. Probably it will be written using C++ and gtkmm (right now I am investigating the alternatives). The previous version file formats will be supported at least for the migration to the new version -- so, don't worry about your data.
